Adele Makes Up With Ex-Boyfriend Who Inspired Her Album

There is no denying that Adele Adkins has had one heck of a successful year from selling close to 11m records of her latest album, 21 which was inspired by her boyfriend who ‘broke her heart’. But now that the money has started to roll in and she’s a worldwide celebrity, you kind of have to thank him for doing what he did, otherwise there would have not been such a wonderful album in the first place.

Adele is spoken out about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend who she refuses to name, she believes it is important to forgive and share the experience she has had after her first single of the album, Rolling In The Deep went no.1 worldwide on iTunes. She says: “We’re becoming friends again. It’s alright, I know what I’m doing. Enough time has gone by. Now with what’s going on with the album around the world, it’s important to be able to share it with him because it’s marvelous what has happened. He changed my life, I can’t deny that. The album helped me get over splitting up with my boyfriend. It helped me forgive and I hope that he has forgiven himself. I’m not boastful but selling 10 million albums for a little girl from Tottenham, I’m very proud of that.”

Adele has since joined celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Eminem and Lady Gaga to surpass the 10 million mark based on independent album sales in less than a year of its release.
