Ground breaking artist and mother of Hip Hop, Sylvia Robinson, has died at the age of 75 of congestive heart failure at Meadowlands hospital in Secaucus, New Jersey.
Robinson is known for her work as founder of Sugar Hill Records and is credited as the driving force behind two landmark singles: Rapper’s Delight and Sugarhill Gang.
