Cheryl Cole is back on the scene and has spoken about her love for Rihanna – no not romantically. Cheryl who got the boot from X Factor USA last year May due to being too shy on the show has said that she thinks the singer is the perfect pop star because she doesn’t rely too much on what people think; she makes her own decision without anyone telling her how to do it.

“You know what I love about Rihanna? I know she gets a lot of criticism, too, about what she wears and what she sings about, but she is so free,” she explained. She doesn’t give two f**ks. I love that in her. I love that sense of freedom about her. She’s gorgeous and free. A perfect pop star.’

It is believed that Rihanna had recorded a duet with the British singer while she was in London a few months ago. The song will appear on Cole’s new album in June. Her current song, Call My Name, will be available one week before the album release date. Cheryl continued:

“Maybe it’s going through everything she’s gone through that has enabled her to get to that point. She’s like, ‘Whatever. What more can you say about us? You can’t hurt us any more’. I love that about her. It’s liberating. She’s liberal.”
