Giuliana Rancic has revealed that she’s heading to London later this month to cover next month’s Olympics, however, there’s one slight problem – her baby will also be on its way that same month. The reality star, who has had trouble getting pregnant herself, settled for a surrogate as she made the announcement back in April, but no one knew the baby was going to be born in August – that soon.

Giuliana appeared on the Today show to talk about future motherhood, the excitement Bill Ranic and her have for the newborn baby, where they’ll live and so much more. When the topic ‘Olympics’ came up, Rancic had to explain the situation: “The baby is due the end of August, and I wrap at the Olympics [in London] on August 11. So we are going to be on standby,” Giuliana explained.

“We think it’s going to be okay. The doctor assured us. He thinks maybe even early September the baby will come. It was funny because I told Bill, ‘You realize you can’t play ball with him for a while?’

She added that Bill can’t wait to start doing activities with the little one: “I think he thinks at 6 months they’re going to be playing catch. I’m like, ‘Honey, that doesn’t happen for a little while’. He’s like, ‘I was waterskiing at 3 years old’. I’m like, ‘Slow down, honey!’”
