There is A War Brewing In The Jackson Family: Janet Jackson Objects to Paris Jackson's Acting

It looks like a family fight is brewing inside the Jackson family.  The late Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris, has spoken publicly about her intention to act in “Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys,” which is scheduled for a 2014 release.  Janet Jackson has turned equally vocal this week, in a story that appears in Us magazine.

“She feels it goes against Michael’s wishes to keep his kids out of the limelight until age 18,” an insider told the magazine. “Janet thinks Paris should enjoy being a kid and possibly go to college. … It’s a huge dispute!”

If there was one thing that Michael was vocal about over the years, it was his lack of a childhood.  He spoke of it as his biggest regret and it was a topic that appeared to deeply wound him right up until his death.  I think it’s hard to imagine him wanting any of his kids front and center in any entertainment related project until they reach adulthood.  Remember, this was the man that made them cover their faces in public so that they wouldn’t be recognized!

Do you think that Michael’s children should be allowed to pursue these types of projects while underage?  It seems to me that Janet is the only one really holding to her brothers’ wishes for his children and that’s pretty sad.  His children shouldn’t have to cover up in public but maybe the family should also not put them on public display either.  Let’s face it, Michael’s mother Katherine is raising his kids so anything that they do to garner attention or publicity has to be approved by her.  Do you think maybe she should put her foot down?  Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
