Sunday night was the night for Bachelorette fans and single women with tears on their laps. The show came to a not-so-dramatic finale, because the “winner” of the show was already announced by a junk eating source not so long ago.
If you didn’t already know, Emily Maynard chose Jef Holm as the man of her dreams and the Kleenex commercial didn’t end there, because Jef joined Emily at the “After The Final Rose” special, where Chris Harrison joked and Emily swooned.
Allegedly, Emily and Jef are very happy together and have amazing plans for the future, which include an overseas trip (please dear God don’t let it be Paris!) and a move. Several fans expected a wedding at the final on Sunday night, but that was (fortunately) not the case. The topic of the wedding was discussed at the ATFR special and Emily said that she didn’t want do the clichéd thing of being the couple who announces their wedding plans on the special episode. Emily says they’re planning to get married in Charleston, but they don’t care when it will be (Emily first wants to lick up the fame like a cat high on catnip).
Emily joked that the two might get married in Africa on their little trip. Surely she means South Africa and not some place dodge like Sierra Leona or Democratic Republic of Congo? Good luck with your ring finger, Emily. No, we mean that literally, good luck with having your ring finger chopped off and fed to a fat black man with an AK47.
Viewers expected Emily and Jef to fast track their marriage and get to it like a bad YouTube video, but they are probably (not too relieved) that things aren’t moving quickly. Emily and Jef, do you know that you should never piss off Bachelorette fans? They will come at you with pitchforks and roses pinned to the skin of Chris Harrison’s buttocks.
Are you pleased with the end result, readers? Did you want these two to get together in the end? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
