There’s nothing worse than reading things that make you look like a “d**k”, says Robert Pattinson. The Twilight movie franchise hottie is often the subject or rumors, thanks in part to his relationship with co-star, Kristen Stewart. He feels he is always setting the record straight, even with his own family!
“There was a magazine, with these pictures, saying I was getting married. No-one ever knows what is true or what isn’t,” Pattinson told Black Book. “Even my own mum called to ask me if it was true.[In interviews] you try to say things in the perfect way but you know unless you say something stupid, from which people will make you look like a d**k, you’re not going to have sound bites. And if you don’t say anything stupid, someone’s going to make something up anyways. My circle of friends narrowed pretty quickly. I like to be the parasite, not the other way around.”
It sounds like he feels doomed either way. Perhaps that is why he and Kristen are so hush-hush about their relationship. The couple is rumored to have dated for nearly four years but it wasn’t until this past spring that a quick kiss was spied between them. Maybe the things that are completely made up end up being less harmful then what would be said if real details of their relationship emerged.
Do you think that the press lies about Pattinson and even other actors? Do you think things are created to offset a slow news day?
