After 16 years of marriage, Melanie Griffith has finally walked out on Antonio Banderas.   Oh wow.   A friend of the couple told The Enquirer, “It’s over between Melanie and Antonio. She’s finally reached the breaking point over his wandering eye.”  What did you expect Melanie? He is a hot blooded Spanish male.

Allegedly, Antonio has been cheating on Melanie with two young females at the Cannes Film Festival and at a Cancun nightclub.

“Melanie went to pieces, and they argued terribly,” the source said.

The couple spent one night together in Los Angeles, before Antonio headed to Spain to film “I’m So Excited” with fellow Spanish heart throb, Penelope Cruz. Melanie was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Munich Film Festival in July, but Antonio did not accompany her.

The source added, “Even though Tony could have hopped a commuter flight from Spain to Germany, Melanie accepted the award alone. She flew home to California without even seeing him. After that, Melanie thought long and hard about the future. She fi­nally realized there was no way the marriage could be repaired.” Isn’t it weird that the source calls him Tony?

The National Enquirer recently reported that the divorce could result in a value of $50 million. We’re not counting the money Melanie received from being neurotic…

The source added, “Melanie’s PR people put out a statement that the marriage was fine, but nothing could be further from the truth. Now it’s time for divorce lawyers.”

There’s nothing like taking the sting out of a divorce with a great legal team, right Melanie?

Melanie and Antonio need to sort out their issues and remind themselves that no-one really cares about them anymore. They’re washed out, tired and don’t have an iota of a career left.
