Someone had to be happy to see that Bristol Palin would be returning to the new season of Dancing with the Stars All-Stars and by someone, I mean Derek Hough.  I’m guessing by this time even Bristol will concede that her reality show was not the brightest move- Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp has tanked in the ratings, been panned by critics and I’m not even going to discuss her three-year old son’s racial slur here.

So, she needed to find a way to keep herself in the spotlight and another turn on DWTS is just the ticket.  Derek, for his party, sounds genuinely happy to see her return saying,

“Unfortunately with the Palin drama and crazy entertainment it’s brought to the United States, I suppose it comes with the territory.  But I think, good for her—good for her to put herself out there because it’s really easy to kind of hibernate and just to disappear.  She’s saying, ‘I’m going to go out there and do my thing and if you don’t like it, then fine!’”

Derek voiced his opinion on Bristol’s return while at the Dizzy Feet Foundation’s Celebration of Dance gala at LA’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
