Dusty Showers for years has helped raise money for breast cancer research and promote breast cancer awareness. Now Showers will ride his bike in a pink bra 2500 miles in 43 days to raise money for breast cancer.

On July 28, 2012, at 9am, Dusty will depart from Clear Sky Beachside Café, 490 Mandalay Avenue, Clearwater, FL, 33767, on an amazing 5 week bike journey across the United States concluding in Los Angeles, California. His journey will be documented by a film student, and everyone will be able to track Dusty online via Face Book and Twitter as he travels across our country.

Showers life was impacted by breast cancer when his daughter’s grandmother and mother was diagnosed. He then created “The 2nd Basemen” foundation to help promote and raise money for the cause.

The mission of The 2nd Basemen, Inc., a registered charity, is to enrich the lives of both women and men diagnosed with breast cancer (and their families). We provide financial assistance to help cover medical bills, family bills and enrichment.
