Cameron Diaz, who unbelievably turns 40 in just a few days, looks absolutely fabulous heading to a workout in New York City today with her trainer Teddy Bass. Wearing a red tank top and black leggings, Cameron shows off her toned arms and legs which are a result of her tough fitness regime.
Cameron has often talked about the importance of a healthy a fit lifestyle and she recently announced that she has signed a publishing deal to write a book on health and wellness for young women, which is expected to be on shelves early next year.
The book will be published by Harper Collins and in a statement they said, “Cameron aims to engage and empower women and girls by showing them that with the right knowledge about their bodies, they can live happier, healthier, stronger and better.”
In a interview with Elle magazine, Cameron admitted that she now has to watch what she eats, “I have never, ever watched what I eat in my life, but I do now. I’m off the fried foods. I’m very thoughtful about what I eat. If you’re gonna do heavy lifting, and you want to stay small, you have to watch what you eat. You have to give your body the right nutrients and really think about what’s best for it.” Here’s hoping that Cameron does engage and empower more women to give up trying to be skinny and prioritize their health and strength, instead.
Cameron has just finished filming her latest movie, “Gambit” where she stars as PJ Puznowski alongside Colin Firth, Alan Rickman and Stanley Tucci. The movie is a comedy caper that is a remake of the 1966 film of the same name starring Shirley MacLaine and Michael Caine. My favorite Cameron Diaz film has to be “There’s Something About Mary”, alongside Matt Dillon and Ben Stiller, what’s yours?.
