Some very amazing celebrities are giving back and doing good by taking their Stand Up To Cancer. On Friday, September 7th, 2012, Stand Up To Cancer returns to primetime for it’s third star-studded show where executive producers Gwyneth Paltrow and Joel Gallen of Tenth Planet Productions will deliver an amazing show featuring performances from top recording artists and celebrities who will engage viewers with powerful stories.

SU2C was founded in 2008, they have raised $180 million dollars to date for innovative research  to end the reign of cancer that is the leading cause of death in America.

Some of the celebrity line up so far are; Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Michael Douglas, Jessica Biel, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Seth Rogen, Katie Couric, Simon Baker and Emma Stone, they will join other celebrities from movies, TV and sports for this televised fundraising special that supports groundbreaking research, accelerating the delivery of new therapies to patients. The SU2C live is a one-hour fundraising event that will air commercial-free on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and cable at 8pm ET.

Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Alicia Keys and Tim McGraw are the performers announced so far with Jordana Brewster, Diem Brown, Dana Delany, Chelsea Handler, Marg Helgenberger, Rashida Jones, Minka Kelly, Joe Manganiello, Jillian Michaels and Alison Sweeney all scheduled to make appearances.
