“Dancing with the Stars” Kirstie Alley recently joined Dr. Oz to answer questions from his fans on Twitter and Facebook. During the question/answer segment, the 61-year old year old admitted that she dances to keep herself happy, even if she is depressed because you can’t dance and not be happy!
Today on Dr. Oz, Kirstie opened revealed that she was not an overweight child, her problems began when she had menopause at 41. She also opened up about how she gained those unwanted pounds in the first place, which was just simply by being a mom and baking for her children. (sounds familiar) She admits that she really doesn’t care what Hollywood thinks of her, she was determined to lose the weight and she did, for herself. (I love her attitude)
Earlier this year, Kirstie took her love of dance to launch a new fitness move, “100 Days of Dance“. The two time Dancing with the Stars contestant wanted to encourage people to dance for 100 consecutive days to shed those unwanted pounds.
Kirstie and professional dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy came in as the runners-up in season 12 of Dancing with the Stars and are now eager to heat up the dance floor again on the show’s All Star edition which is scheduled to air on September 24th, 2012.
What else does Kirstie do to look so fabulous? She eats approximately 1,500 calories a day when she wants to take off some weight, anything under that slows down her metabolism and makes losing weight really tough.
Full figured or thin, we love Kirstie!

It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
