Madonna also known as Madonna Louise Ciccone, contracted an illness that affected her voice and that made her incapable of performing live on stage for her millions of disappointed fans, which led her to cancelling a concert on Saturday October 20th in Texas.
It was doctor’s orders that made the fifty year old cancel a stop on her MDNA tour, where she was due to take the stage at the American Airlines Center in Dallas in front of millions of fans and it all came down to an infection of ”severe laryngitis.”

Madonna posted her website that “Under doctor’s orders, the Material Girl has been put on ‘complete vocal rest’… All tickets for the October 20th show to be refunded at the point of purchase. Tickets purchased online will (be) refunded directly. Madonna regrets any inconvenience to her fans.”

Madonna has so far sold over 300 million records worldwide and she has performed almost everywhere, singing her top songs such as “Like A Virgin”, “Papa Don’t Preach”, “Vogue”, and “4 Minutes”. According to the Recording Industry Association of America Madonna is the bestselling female rock artist of the 2000’s, in the year of 2012 she was crowned as the “Greatest Woman In Music” by VH1, following her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You  can clearly see why her fans are disappointed when she cancels a concert.

Madonna also signed in 2007 a one hundred and twenty million dollar record deal that consisted of touring, concerts, and merchandising contract with Live Nation. Unfortunately for Madonna, she was scheduled to perform yet another performance today is Texas.
