Penelope Cruz has designed her own lingerie collection and I find it very inspiring to see a women, who is used to acting for a living, branch out into her own business. The Spanish actress, along with her sister Monica, have paired together with “Agent Provocateur” to get their own lingerie collection started which will be called L’Agent diffusion line. It will include fifteen different styles of bras, briefs and corsets.

Penelope is very excited about the new business venture, ‘‘It is so exciting for me and Monica to embark in this new adventure. We have always been huge fans of Agent Provocateur and both of us are very much looking forward to this long term collaboration. We feel extremely happy to become part of this great team.”

Agent Provocateur’s creative director, Sarah Shotton is also thrilled about the new collection, “Monica Cruz was sensational [in our campaign], and Penelope Cruz has always been a muse for Agent Provocateur. Penelope and Monica are both long-time lingerie fans and have brought a new design sensibility to the brand. Working with the Cruz sisters was a great opportunity to bring the diffusion line to life and to further strengthen the brand’s relationship with them.”

The two sisters have been deeply involved in all the aspects of the collaboration and the partnership is expected to go on for at least five years. You can expect to see the lingerie collection out sometime next August 2013. Penelope also has a younger sister has also designed for Mango, donating both her time and money to different charities. Penelope herself has been to Uganda and India doing some volunteering, charitable giving seems to run in the family!
