Veteran actor John Goodman has suffered a mishap that got him thrown into the emergency at the hospital after he sliced open his hand on a broken window.

The Argo star is currently in NY to promote his two movies, “Argo” and “Flight”, while he was at his hotel suite, the star was trying to open a window to have a cigarette and has he was opening it he sliced his hand.

NY Magazine reports: “The top of the window came off, sheared in the middle, and came down like a guillotine.”

The night that this occurred, he was due to make an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman, the actor still attended and he wrapped his hand up with a gauze and went through the painful interview, “I looked like a goofball, but it killed 30 seconds of conversation.”

Right immediately after the long and extremely painful interview for the show, the “Coyote Ugly” actor was taken directly to the hospital where he was hospitalized and received a whopping sixty stitches.

Goodman is less a man than he used to be, in 2009-2010 it was reported that the actor had lost an amazing one hundred pounds and is claiming that exercise and keeping a journal of what he ate helped him keep his weight off, how awesome is that!
