Giuliana Rancic Fights To Raise Awareness For Breast Cancer

Giuliana Rancic has decided that since the starlet is a breast cancer survivor that she is going to lend her name for a good cause to help support other female breast cancer patients, “Early detection is everything, it’s what saved my life.” Giuliana is an advocate for breast cancer awareness and says that “If you detect breast cancer early, you have a 98 percent five-year survival rate.”

This month, Giuliana is there to support “The Lynn Sage Foundation”, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, to observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Last year the E! News star was diagnosed with breast cancer, and in December 2012 she underwent a double mastectomy surgery that was successful. After a tough year, Giuliana and her husband Bill Rancic welcomed their very first son Edward Duke. With all that has happened to this family, Giuliana can’t wait till they have another son or daughter, and have already began their planning. In an interview with Life & Style last month, Giuliana shared her thoughts on her new family, “I had always heard that when you have a baby it completes your life – and it’s true. I love my baby, and I love my new role.”

Giuliana is a role model to all females around the world, as she faced a breast cancer scare head on and dealt with the situation but continues to live her life on her terms.
