Too little too late, that’s all I have to say. ABC has finally realized their mistake in cancelling my beloved soap, All My Children. The network has finally axed the moron who did the cancelling of not only AMC, but One Life to Live as well. The person responsible, Brian Frons, gave a statement about his leaving the network when his contract is up:
“While my decision to try something new was not arrived at easily, nine years is a long time in television terms. I’m proud of the performance of ABC Daytime over that time, and of all of the accomplishments that our team achieved along the way. I’m especially pleased by the early results for ‘The Chew’ and excited for the launch of ‘The Revolution,’ which will be one more positive step in transforming ABC Daytime for our viewers. I’ll miss my colleagues and the wonderful talent that makes our shows, but know they are in very capable hands with Vicki going forward.”
Wow, can you believe this guy actually thinks he did a good thing? Hopefully Vicki will throw ABC’s last soap, General Hospital, a life line. Sadly, there is no return for All My Children, all we are left with is a lousy ending that left us guessing if J.R. shot someone.
