Michael Douglas is stating that he is feeling good and that is cancer is in remission, the actor also cannot wait to get back to work.

Contact Music reports: Michael Douglas says he feels good now that his cancer is in remission and he is happy to be back at work.

Michael Douglas is feeling good following his cancer battle.

The 68-year-old actor revealed in 2010 that he had been diagnosed with stage four throat cancer but after successfully undergoing treatment, Michael is optimistic about his health and excited to be working.

He told USA Today: ”So far everything is good. I just finished my six-month check up a couple of days ago. I’m working a lot. I just happened on some good material.”

While the ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ star is in remission, his medical treatment was so harsh his weight plummeted to 139 lbs at one stage.

Around the time he announced his illness, Michael confessed he couldn’t forgive the doctors who at first failed to notice that he had cancer.

He said: ”I went and saw a round of doctors in January-February and they didn’t pick up anything. They gave me some antibiotics and then I went and saw a round of doctors again in May and still nothing. Then my tongue started bothering me and by the time I took off for the summer and came back in August, I told my doctor ‘Hey, something’s going on.’

”I understand it’s a very difficult cancer to find. It was under the tongue and it’s unusual, but I’m still doing my homework on it. I would say I have not forgiven… stage two would have been nicer than stage four.”

Ethan Zohn, Survivor Raising Money with His Mustache

Ethan Zohn from the hit reality show Survivor and survivor of cancer, that hit him twice, has decided that he is going to grow a mustache for the men’s cancer charity, Movember.

“As a full-time cancer crusher, I’m always looking for fun ways to get involved with the fight against cancer,” Zohn tells PEOPLE in the clip above. “What better than to have an excuse to let yourself get really hairy for cancer research?”

We recently caught up with Zohn at MiN New York — an apothecary in SoHo — where the star got a little facial hair TLC courtesy of men’s groomer Kumi Craig. Though she kept his mo intact, she cleaned up his growing beard and just trimmed his ‘stache, since as part of the Movember challenge, Zohn has to keep his mustache growing for the 30 days of November.

“Now that it’s getting a little more full and hairy, it’s exciting,” Zohn says. “My girlfriend [fellow Survivor star Jenna Morasca] likes it … although she jokes that I look like a bum walking around the street. But she’s getting used to it.”

Though Zohn wasn’t able to recruit any friends or family members to join him in the facial hair fun — “It didn’t go over so well for them,” he jokes — he’s just feeling happy to have his health, and to be helping other men in need.

“For me, to be able to even grow my facial hair is a pretty big deal,” he says proudly. Hear more from Zohn in the clip above, and to help the Movember movement, visit movember.com.

Robin Roberts: “I Decided To Look At My Brief Stay As A “Tune Up”

The fifty one year old ‘Good Morning America’ host Robin Roberts shared some words about her recovery after her bone marrow transplant, sixty days later.

“After about a week back in the hospital, I returned home Friday night. A latent virus, many of us have, was not responding to medication and was pulling down my numbers. Our immune systems usually take care of a virus like this … but mine is only 59 days old,” Miss Roberts continued.”

“Physically I felt fine but being back in the hospital took an emotional toll on me. The wonderful doctors, nurses and support staff lifted my spirits. It was comforting seeing them again. They assured me the majority of BMT patients have to be re-admitted to the hospital for various reasons.”

“I decided to look at my brief stay as a “tune up” … and then I would be back on the road to recovery. By the grace of God, I am! The virus is under control and my numbers are going back up. My sister, Sally-Ann, flew to NYC to be with me.”

“Before I was discharged on Friday she interviewed me. Her station in New Orleans, WWL-TV, has done an incredible job bringing attention to the need for donors like my big sis. “GMA” will show a portion of the interview Tuesday morning. I’ve been moved to tears by my “GMA” family’s (and YOUR) genuine support, concern and love. Have a blessed Sunday. XO”

“I’ve had cancer before, and I didn’t want to live under that cloud . . . The odds are not in my favor,” explained Sharon, who battled colon cancer a decade ago. “I decided to take everything off, and had a double mastectomy.”

Sharon Osbourne Undergoes Double Mastectomy To Stay Healthy

Sharon Osbourne Undergoes Double Mastectomy To Stay Healthy

Sharon Osbourne had a feeling that she may develop breast cancer, so she decided to undergo a preventive double Mastectomy. In a recent interview with Britain’s Hello! magazine, Sharon reveals, “As soon as I found out I had the breast cancer gene, I thought: ‘The odds are not in my favour’. I’ve had cancer before and I didn’t want to live under that cloud: I decided to just take everything off, and had a double mastectomy.”

In the early 2000’s, Sharon had a battle with colon cancer and decided to have the mastectomy because she was diagnosed with something called genetic mutation which raises her chances of forming the disease. Sharon explains further, “For me, it wasn’t a big decision, it was a no-brainer. I didn’t want to live the rest of my life with that shadow hanging over me. I want to be around for a long time and be a grandmother to Pearl.”

Sharon didn’t even hesitate to have the surgery as it meant staying healthy and being happy with her family, “I didn’t even think of my breasts in a nostalgic way, I just wanted to be able to live my life without that fear all the time. It’s not ‘pity me’, it’s a decision I made that’s got rid of this weight that I was carrying around.”

Wow, what an amazing inspiring woman that is strong and fights through the bad times.
