Prospect Park Cheats All My Children Fans and Blame Goes To Susan Lucci

All My Children Benched By Prospect Park

I remember when I believed that Prospect Park was All My Children‘s saviour, that was when ABC announced that it was letting go of the much beloved soap. Now, I find Prospect Park’s actions towards deciding to bench AMC indefinitely totally disgusting and disrespectful to it’s many loyal fans. We were promised that AMC was going online and they left us hanging in the that last episode with who JR shot, without giving us closure to his character, which was not fair in the least. I have completely boycotted the ABC network for AMC’s previous time slot and I will continue to do so. Had they not been so greedy for the all mighty dollar and made better decision when it came to their writing staff, AMC would still be on air.

Let’s call a “spade a spade” here. All the wonderful AMC actors, including Susan Lucci, were waiting to hear back from Prospect Park with a concrete offer for months now. These people have mortgages, families, children to feed; how long can they possibly wait until Prospect Park gets their “ducks in a row”. I say good riddence to Prospect Park, we will see our beloved actors again as they will do doubt be picked by other networks.

Last week, Susan Lucci made an official statement on her Facebook regarding all the rumours that she did not want to return to AMC online.

I want my fans to know the truth. There has been miscommunications as a result of statements in the press that I am one of the reasons that All My Children is not moving forward. This is simply untrue and not the case. We have been in discussions since Prospect Park first expressed interest in moving the series online, and in correspondence dated September 8th, I made it clear that I would be ecstatic to be a part of All My Children in a prominent way if they committed to producing the series for another year. I have not heard back from Prospect Park since then, in fact, I learned of their decision not to proceed with All My Children at the same time you did, through the media.

It’s been a privilege and honor to be involved with the All My Children family for so many years, from working closely with Agnes Nixon to getting to know millions of devoted and wonderful fans.

There is still HOPE for AMC’s Erica Kane

All My Children‘s finale broadcast may have cast a shadow over AMC fan’s around soap world, but through the tunnel of darkness there is a glimmer of light that the show may go on with La Lucci! In an interview with NPR Radio that covered the broadcast finale, Susan Lucci revealed that all hope has not yet vanished, we may in fact see Erica Kane making a return in Prospect Park’s Pine Valley.

“I would love to. And we are trying, as we speak, to work that out. We are waiting on a response at the moment.”

All My Children: The Ball is in Susan Lucci’s Court

Deadline reports that Prospect Park has made All My Children’s biggest name Susan Lucci a contract offer equal to what she currently makes at ABC, to continue with the soap as it moves online and/or to other platforms.

Lucci has not decided yet what she will do, it was also reported that she may end up on Wisteria Lane but with Desperate Housewives now being in it’s final season, this appears to be a fantastic offer. Looks like the ball is in Lucci’s court!

Susan Lucci Has a New Job & Other Fabulous News

Well, if there is one thing good about the cancellation of All My Children (I can’t believe I said that!) it is the fact that Susan Lucci will be joining the Desperate Housewives on Wisteria Lane. According to former AMC co-star, Elizabeth Rodriguez, it is confirmed that Lucci has a new job.

All My Children Goes Out With ‘No Respect’

After 41 loyal years on All My Children, Susan Lucci tells TMZ that she only found out about the cancellation last Thursday with all of the rest of the cast, she took the news hard and was understandably very upset.

You would think the least ABC could have done is tell Lucci before the rest of the cast, but considering their lack of respect to the loyal fans in replacing our beloved Pine Valley with a bunch of chefs that should stay where they belong, on the Food Network, it comes as no surprise how they disrespected her.

Which AMC actress is Fit Fab Turning 64 today?

The leading lady of daytime, beautiful Susan Lucci, turns an amazing 64 years-old today! Lucci began playing Erica Kane on the soap opera All My Children in 1970 and still remains as the sexy, conniving, but somehow lovable vixen.
