Showbiz Spy reports:
People is reporting that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have called it quits after more than three years of dating. Reps for the two could not be reached.
However, a source says the pair might reunite.
The news follows online reports that Pattinson ditched out on his 27th birthday plans arranged by Stewart.
Prior to his birthday, the pair appeared to be on and going strong: They were seen in New York together after the Met Gala — and then flew back to Los Angeles together on May 8. They also recently celebrated Stewart’s 23rd birthday together and held hands at Coachella — despite the actress’s cheating scandal with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders last July.
Recent reports claimed Rob turned to alcohol to numb the pain of Kristen’s cheating.
“Rob was a complete mess over Kristen’s cheating and began drinking to numb the heartbreak,” says a close source.
“Rob doesn’t just drink with friends while out, he drinks by himself at home and always reeks of alcohol.
“His friends are so scared for his health, they’re trying to figure out a way to help him.
“Rob has become so dependent that he now brings vodka on set, where he drinks it all day long while working.
“He even has plans to open up an exclusive bar on Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood, where he can party in peace and not have to worry if anyone’s watching.
“Kristen doesn’t try to help Rob, because she doesn’t see a problem with the drinking. Everyone thinks they have a very unhealthy relationship. The best thing that could happen for Rob would be to ditch Kristen and stop drinking – to save not only his acting career but his life.”
Showbiz Spy reports:
According to a new report, trust is still a huge problem in the couple’s relationship, but there is hope that they can resolve their issues.
After Kristen cheated on Robert, the pair broke up for a short period, but ultimately reconciled. Although their relationship has been going well, it seems there are still some issues.
Relationship expert Dr. Phil Dembo told HollywoodLife that Rob and Kristen’s relationship is on the rocks, because Rob still doesn’t trust Kristen.
“When there is a betrayal in a relationship, everything changes. The love may be there, as it apparently is between Rob and Kristen (which brought them back together), but the trust has been broken,” explains Dr. Dembo.
“Love may be the engine that drives a relationship, but trust are your tires that keep it a smooth ride. The Rob/Kristen relationship has experienced a flat tire, and Rob doesn’t trust that the ‘patchwork’ may be strong enough not to have another blow out.
“Don’t settle on patching the tire, and find a way to install a brand new set of really strong tires to roll smoothly on,” he explains. “In other words, build trust and attend to it with the level of effort and energy that you haven’t before.
“Its not enough to say I am sorry. Kristen needs to show the trust, and talk about how the affair has affected Rob and their relationship. To truly mend, we must take ownership of what we have done and who we plan to be moving forward.
“Most relationships with this kind of public betrayal have difficulty regaining its old swagger, and are at risk of not surviving the original breach of trust.”
