Katie Holmes went through some troubled waters recently. Her life stalled like a Simon and Garfunkel song, but then she kicked Tom Cruise to the curb and resumed talks for a television reunion film of “Dawson’s Creek”. Katie sang to Tom, “I don’t want to wait, for our lives to be over!”
If you’re a serious Dawson’s Creek fan, you will immediately recognize the above sentence.
Tom Cruise, in all of his controlling glory, halted Katie from doing the film, which many now believe will go ahead as planned.
My Creek Leak (WTF?) says, “Katie’s calling her own shots again, and she’s spoken with Michelle Williams and James Van Der Beek, who also want to make the reunion movie happen. She thinks it’s a great career move, and loves the idea of hanging again with supportive old friends.”
We’re not too sure if a Dawson’s Creek reunion film will be all that… Most teenagers who watched the show back when it aired have since grown up and lost the bad hairdos and Hanson cassette tapes recorded for them by the voluptuous girl friend at school.
Michelle Williams is the only cast member who really achieved anything since the show ended. You all might remember that she was married to the late Heath Ledger and has achieved great critical success in her film career having recently starred in the Oscar nominated My Week with Marilyn.
Katie Holmes was held captive by a crazy Scientologist and James Van Der Beek, well; we are not too sure what happened to him. His face has disappeared into the back corners of our minds, along with Devon Sawa and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Ah, the glorious 90’s…
